The goal of the NZSDT Inc. is to provide quality service and education in all aspects of Diversional Therapy. By providing activities that improve the lives of those in our care and promoting the highest standards of Diversional Therapy, through understanding, education, and the encouragement and cooperation of fellow Diversional Therapists.
As a professional organisation full registration is open to individuals currently employed in the field of Diversional Therapy. This includes Diversional Therapists, Motivation Therapists, Activities or Recreation Officers and Occupational Therapy Aides.
All DT's follow the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics of the NZ Society of Diversional Therapy, which is also a requirement of all tutors and assessors.

At the end of the month the election of the executive Committee will take place at conference.
For those considering standing it's a challenging yet rewarding role. The current appointees have worked solidly this past year updating systems and introducing new ideas. I hope the current committee is standing again this year as they appear to be a good team. If you are considering nomination, please be prepared to contribute and be prepared for work.
Note we live in the World Wide Web, Internet broadband and computer literacy is a must; for communication and access to the society records and data. From what I read the conference will an excellent event, there is still time to make arrangements to attend.
